2026 Pasadena Media Summer Fellowship
Learn. Create. Produce.
Service Description
The Pasadena Media Summer Fellowship is a 1-2 month, hands-on media training and production program for currently enrolled high school and college students. From June through August, Fellows gain practical experience across the full media production process—from studio and field production to pre-visualization, social media, producing, and post-production. Through a combination of classes, workshops, hands-on assignments, and collaborative projects, Fellows build foundational skills in Studio Operations, Production Development, Production, and Editing. The curriculum includes Studio Production Tech Essentials, Field Production Tech Essentials, Previsualization Workshop, Social Media Essentials, Producer Bootcamp, and DaVinci Essentials. Throughout the summer, Fellows put their skills into practice through individual assignments, creative projects, and hands-on production experiences. The program culminates in a collaborative final project, giving Fellows the opportunity to take an idea from development through production and post-production while working as a team. The Pasadena Media Summer Fellowship is designed to give emerging media creators a deeper understanding of the craft, the production process, and the collaborative nature of media-making—while providing a supportive environment to learn new skills, create original work, and gain real-world production experience.
