Johnny Irion is one of the most distinguished folk rock musicians in the United States. Recently Rolling Stone magazine announced a song produced by Irion on the top ten new releases in America's current folk rock scene. Johnny Irion - married to Sarah-Lee Guthrie, granddaughter of folk legend Woody Guthrie and grandnephew of John Steinbeck (Grapes of Wrath) - went on a solo tour of numerous European countries for the first time in 2019, accompanied by his daughter Olivia. As part of his European tour, Johnny Irion made a stop in Ludwigshafen in the Kulturcafe Franz & Lizzy and sang brand new songs from his latest LP "Driving friends". His stories are full of poetry and harmony. The OK-TV Ludwigshafen team recorded this musical treat as part of a training project.
