It took 2 years for Nicks to make THE FORCE that takes you behind the scenes of the Oakland Police Department that has been under federal monitoring for over 10 years. This is the second film in a trilogy that Nicks is making on Oakland, a San Francisco Bay area city. Nicks won a directing award for THE FORCE at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.
