Alves is the founder and CEO of Ople, a Silicon Valley startup that wants to make AI easy, cheap and ubiquitous to as he puts it. We sat down to talk to Alves about how he got interested in meta, meta learning, AI and data mining and what propelled him to become an entrepreneur. Alves was doing his PhD in Computational Biology at Yale when he decided to leave his program and became a data scientist, which in turn brought him to Silicon Valley.
